At present, we only have isiXhosa and English in place. But, behind the
scenes, we are developing translations into other languages.
Yes! More languages are coming... We chose languages based on the language
skills of the contacts we have at present.

History and Creation
STEP partly recognises that in engaging in any aspect of the science of
the Universe is a step-by-step process not instant, but STEP stands for
the Science and Technology Education Programme of the Global Jet Watch.
The Global Jet Watch is a research programme designed to study the dynamic
Universe. Its telescopes are distributed in longitude around Planet Earth
so that at any one time there is one of these telescopes in darkness
(essential for collecting astronomical data). The majority of our
telescopes are located in schools in order that teenagers can experience
how Astronomy is a gateway to science. This only reaches a small number of
schools of course, and STEP into the Cosmos is an initiative we took in
order to offer a pathway into science for anyone around the world even if
their first language isn't necessarily replete with scientific vocabulary.
Very carefully, to make the most of the resources we have to develop and
maintain a robust, enduring and secure platform that rapidly connects
anyone to the Cosmos. Part of our funding is used to pay translators so
that STEP into the Cosmos can reach a wider group of people.
